It’s been four years since Don Kies’ book, Driving Test Keilor East, hit the shelves. I first read it back in 2020 and have just recently re-read it. Driving Test Killer shows you how to succeed at the driving test, eliminating all the time-wasting blunders that can result in failing your test.
After reading the book, I immediately set about studying the techniques and tactics that Don had use, creating a strategy that could be use by me if I ever fail my driving test. In particular, his book include several components, which I would like to outline briefly here. To better explain what the book is about, I would like to start with a brief explanation of the science of driving tests.
First, and most obviously, the test has to be conduct correctly.
There are many factors that need to be taken into account, the most important of which is your level of ability. There is no point in taking your driving test Keilor East if you know that you are incapable of passing. If you can handle a higher level of driving, then there are a number of techniques that you can employ to help you pass your test.
This includes good practice.
You should make yourself aware of any possible problems that may occur during the test. It is important to get out of your car at each stop sign and get out of your car when the lights turn green. A good practice is important because in this way you will be able to understand any mistake that could be made on the test and adapt to a new technique when require.
That said, if you’re going to succeed at the driving test Keilor East:
then you will also need to focus on improving your driving skills. Don Kies recommends concentrating on three key areas. The first is posture, which involves relaxing your muscles and taking time to adjust them to the level of your current ability. The second focuses on driving techniques, especially focusing on learning how to change lanes and maneuver your car safely through the traffic.
The third element of driving Test Keilor East that Don Kies emphasizes is concentration. Concentration is key and helps to keep you focus on the details that are going to be present during the test. The key is to remain mentally alert during the test and not let things fall off your mind.

Some of the driving techniques that Don Kies encourages involve watching traffic
before moving your car in and out of traffic and even during the actual driving test Keilor East itself. The reason behind this is that sometimes driving conditions to change unexpectedly, which means you may need to make adjustments base on the traffic around you.
At the end of the day, what I found to be most beneficial about the book was the fact that Don seems to explain the fundamentals in a way that makes sense to anyone who is interest in taking the driving test. Most driving tests have so many irrelevant elements that they are often harder than they need to be, but Don Kies has managed to make it easier by explaining the concepts in such a way that anybody can understand.
He covers aspects of the driving test Keilor East:
that can be useful to novice drivers, as well as helping those who are more advanced. The book is a simple introduction to some of the essential driving techniques that will help you pass your driving test, as well as what to expect on the day.
Now, I’m not sure that I will take a driving test again, but I do feel that if I ever fail, then I will benefit from having a guide like Don Kies’ book in my bag.
